Cynthia McKenna MEd, MDiv, MA, LPC, NCC
Cynthia McKenna is a National Board Certified Counselor, a Licensed Professional Counselor and an Episcopal priest. She has more than 13 years of experience helping individuals and couples create the lives they really want.
The focus of Cynthia’s work is to help people find ways to heal their relationships, reduce stress, and create more joy and peace in daily life. She offers counseling for adults and couples.
Cynthia is a trauma specialist, working with adults whose lives have been changed by trauma including sexual assault and sexual abuse.
Cynthia leads customized retreats and workshops addressing communication for couples, stress management, improving relationships, parenting skills, spirituality, grief and trauma. She also offers insightful business programs for staff development in the areas of teamwork and improving communication.
Cynthia earned a Master of Arts degree from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, a Master of Divinity degree from the Episcopal Theological Seminary of the Southwest in Austin, and a Master of Education with specialties in early childhood and human development, from Texas Tech University in Lubbock.
Cynthia is a member of the American Counseling Association, Comfort Chamber of Commerce, and the National Association of Women Business Owners.
Cynthia’s private practice is located in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. When not engaged in counseling, she enjoys growing herbs and heirloom tomatoes, tending her water garden, fiber arts, reading, and gourmet cooking.
